Aren’t hemp and CBD the same thing?
Actually no! For many, hemp oil and CBD are terms used interchangeably. While there are certainly some similarities, hemp and CBD are very different products with varying benefits.
Both hemp oil and CBD are derived from the Cannabis Sativa plant. Hemp oil comes from hemp seeds, while CBD oil is extracted from the stalks stems, leaves, and flowers of the plant. So while they do come from the same plant, they are different in function.
Are hemp oil and hemp seed oil the same thing?
Well yes, and no. “Hemp Oil” is a general term often used interchangeably for hemp seed oil and CBD oil.
So what’s the bee connection?
Industrial hemp is wind pollinated and therefore serves as a fantastic source of pollen for bees. In a study done by Colorado State University, it was found that a total of 23 different genera of bees were collected in the fields of flowering hemp!
